About this course

This course teaches anyone comfortable in spreadsheets to replace static, manually rebuilt reports with Power BI dashboards that refresh themselves. You connect to Excel, CSV, and folders, transform messy data in the Power Query Editor using filter, split, unpivot, and Group By with zero formula writing, then build a clean data model by linking a fact table to date and lookup tables. You design report pages with bar, line, card, matrix, and map visuals, add slicers and cross-filtering, create quick measures and the implicit measures Power BI generates for you, then publish to the Power BI Service, build a dashboard, set scheduled refresh, and share with row-level access. Each lesson uses a concrete sales file and flags the real traps, data-type errors, blank relationships, wrong aggregations, and refresh failures, so your reports stay trustworthy.
